You'd have to fly almost 20, 000 km away from the Earth to be able to view the entire planet, but thanks to the new EU-UNAWE Earth Ball you can see our home planet as if you were in Space. The unique perspective allows you to teach children all sorts of facts about the planet: from the shape of the Earth to its the axial tilt, its surface composition to the features that can be seen from space. To help broach these topics an accompanying Earth Ball Activity Guide has been designed for use with the ball, it is brim-full of ideas about how to use this tool for teaching astronomy, geography, environmental awareness, global citizenship and even biology. This book contains around 50 interactive, hands-on activities for children aged between 6 and 12 years, that can be put into practice in schools, playgrounds or at home.
